Galveston Seawall

Miles of Gulf views, bikes & sunsets. Stay nearby at The Suite Escape Galveston.

Galveston Seawall for couples

Built after the Great Storm of 1900, the Galveston Seawall protects the island and runs for miles along the Gulf. On top, a wide sidewalk makes it one of the best places on the island to walk, jog or ride bikes with the ocean beside you.

Monument and walkway along Galveston's Seawall Boulevard

Rent a surrey bike, watch the waves, stop at a beachfront restaurant, or take the steps down to the sand. Along the way you'll find historic markers, monuments and plenty of spots to sit and watch the sun rise or set over the water.

For couples, an early-morning or golden-hour walk along the Seawall is one of the simplest and most memorable things to do in Galveston.
